ON-CALL MENTORING PROGRAM

Purpose:

In lieu of formal mentoring (one year commitment), if someone has an issue or topic they'd like addressed without getting into a long-term relationship, the On-Call program would serve as a referral to someone who could answer questions as they arise.

Process:

1. Engineer/Architect contacts the on-call coordinator with the request for On-Call mentoring.

-         Engineer/Architect (civil service / commissioned officer) describes the question/issue that needs to be addressed.  This is best done with an e-mail, however, if it is a sensitive issue you may call in your request.

-         Contact the on-call Coordinator CAPT Robert E. Biddle by email or by phone at (406) 247-7091

2. On-call coordinator goes to the directory of knowledgeable people (including OCCO, engineers, architects, office of Chief Engineer, EPAC) and selects the person who can best address the question/issue.  Coordinator contacts the knowledgeable person with the request.

-         Knowledgeable person agrees to follow up and does or

-         Knowledgeable person does not agree; coordinator contacts the next best person

3. Coordinator follows up with the original requestor to enquire about completion of the process. If needed the coordinator continues to help the requestor get the issue resolved
